2. Rent & Return
Quick. Simple. Flexible.
RENT AN E-BIKE
Scan the QR-code or enter the e-bike number. The frame lock opens automatically so never rent a bike from afar.
PARK AN E-BIKE
You can park your e-bike without stopping the rental. Activate the park mode in your app and close the lock afterwards. Simply deactivate it again to continue your ride. The lock opens automatically. Therefore do not deactivate the park mode from afar.
RETURN AN E-BIKE
Return your e-bike at any official station in Urdaibai. Close the lock by pressing down the lever. In case the station is full, please place your e-bike next to the stands and close the lock. Refresh your app to make sure the rental has been stopped. Check the map for information about stations near you.
Registration
You can sign up with nextbike via the website or app. For assisted registration via hotline see Registration Channels.
The registration is free of charge. Before renting your first bike, we need to verify your means of payment. You will be required to deposit a credit of 1 € which can be used in all fare types.
Payment options:
4 bikes on one account:
You can rent up to four bikes at the same time using one account. Free minutes or special rates will only apply to the first bike, though.
Service fees
Returning bikes outside official stations within Urdaibai is not allowed. A service fee of min. 20 € will apply.
If the bike is not locked correctly or not locked at all, we will charge a service fee of 25 €.
In individual cases, nextbike GmbH reserves the right to charge a service fee corresponding to the actual expense incurred.
